Mrs. Herbstritt is the Gifted & Talented Specialist for K-8.
This is Mrs. Herbstritt's 21st year of teaching! Fifteen of those years have been spent working with GT Students and 11 of those years have been spent in Corvallis.
Mrs. Herbstritt was born right here in Hamilton, Montana at the old Marcus Daly Hospital, but when she was a mere 2 months old, her family moved to College Station, Texas where she grew up. Upon high school graduation, she stayed in College Station and graduated from the greatest university in the nation - Texas A&M University (Gig 'Em)! She taught for 10 years in Desoto, Texas (south of Dallas) before starting a family That prompted her and her husband to move back to Montana in 2004 to raise their family. She is so fortunate that Corvallis needed a GT Specialist and could continue working with GT Students.
Mrs. Herbstritt's family consists of her husband, Steve, and two daughters - Kailen (10) and Rylee (9). They have 3 dogs - J.J., Skipper, and Annika; a guinea pig named Cinders,; a bearded dragon named Splotch, and a Red-Tailed Boa Constrictor named Earl.
She has many passions - anything outdoors (camping, hiking, biking, skiing), watching college football (especially the Aggies), and spending time with her family and friends.
Mrs. Herbstritt spends the mornings at the Primary School and afternoons at the Middle School. Click on the "Schools" drop down menu above to visit each school's page.
